Thanks to Tamika at Shop Socials, I attended the first anniversary party for a cute little boutique, I Heart Accessories, at 2646 Yonge Street in the chic shopping enclave of Upper Eglinton. The diminutive shop features jewellry, belts, hats, scarves gloves, purses–everything accessories-related you might desire. Owner Natalie features Canadian designers including Foxy Originals and keeps her prices accessible at under $50. She says her buying policy is simple: she chooses the things she likes and would wear herself.
Along with Natalie’s boutique, I discovered an inspiring area of Toronto filled with independent, fashion-forward stores which make a style-lovers heart sing. Closing time was upon many of the shops as I walked by and following are a selection of pretty storefronts I had the pleasure of pressing my nose up against:

Ahah I think that selling what one would wear and making life earnings out of it it’s a dream of many of us! Like more or less earning for what we love to write about! ;D
Haha, yes it is a dream! It also shows integrity and authenticity on the part of the owner–being true to herself.
Hi and thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog! The stores you reviewed look very cute. It seems in my area that everything is either over my price range, too inexpensive to want to wear, or mass brands.
Love,
Heather

Hi Heather, thanks for visiting, too. Hope we can keep up with each other. There were some very nice stores in that area of Toronto. I’ll have to go back when they’re open!
